First Wednesday Fellowship

Greetings from your First Wednesday Fellowship hosts!  Our new meeting time is now at 12:30 PM!

The First Wednesday Fellowship group gathers on the first Wednesday of each month for an afternoon of fun, desserts, fellowship and enrichment.  We will no longer be serving lunch - however, we will have desserts at 12:30 PM, followed by our program at 1:00 PM.  If you wish, you may bring a dessert to share.  The program changes each month, always offering something new and exciting!  The programs are free and reservation or registration is not required.  Come and join us!

Our programs for 2019 are as follows: 

March 6th - The Clef Hangers Quartet: The Clef Hangers return to serenade us with their wonderful Barbershop songs.

April 3rd - American Indians: Lorraine Gerhardt will present a program on American Indian culture and history.

May 1st - Cataloging History (Sears Kit Homes Still Standing): Lara Solonickne, Arlington Heights resident and researcher, will share with us the history and stories behind some of these homes which are still here today.

June 5th - March of the Women: Music for the 100th Anniversary of Suffrage (An Illinois Humanities Council Roads Scholars Program): Phil Passen plays songs, on his hammered dulcimer, about women's suffrage from as early as the mid-19th century through 1920.  He will introduce each song with information about the song and its historical context.

July 3rd - Hummingbirds: First Wednesday Fellowship will present a video taken from PBS on Hummingbirds.



Saturdays - 4:30 PM

Sundays - 8 AM | 9:15 AM | 10:45 AM



Thank you to all who came out to worship with us for Holy Week & Easter 2019!!  We also want to give a special shout-out to our various music ensembles that performed their talents for us throughout the week, along with those who volunteered to help with ushering, liturgy, assisting in Communion, bulletin assembly, & refreshments.

* Congratulations to our 2019 Confirmation 8th Grade graduates!  On Sunday, May 5th at the 10:45 AM worship service, 14 of our 8th grade graduates were Confirmed at SOTH.  Thank you to all of our students' families for your continued support in your students' faith journey!  * NOTE: Although Sunday School & Confirmation classes are off for the summer, current Junior High & incoming High School students can still attend our Youth Ministries program nights!  Click the following link for more info, or contact our Youth Minister, Nick Nalley at if interested in attending!
