Is a team of local volunteers trained at various levels through FEMA to assist when disaster strikes. Shepherd of the Hills is proud to be home to a Lutheran Early Response Team.
We believe that each and every life has tremendous value and we should do all we can to preserve it! That is why Shepherd of the Hills has partnered with Versiti Blood Centers to host Blood Drives year round. Please contact the Church office for our schedule of upcoming Blood Drives!!! The mission of the Shepherd of the Hills Care Committee is to assist our members when they find they need that "little bit of extra help", maybe after a surgery or illness, new baby, or other life altering events. Some of the ways we can serve are preparing a meal, providing transportation, running errands, light yard work, or simply visiting with someone. If you would like to share your gift in any of these areas, or another one not mentioned, please call the office at
815-385-4030. The more stewards we have, the more opportunities to share God's love!
Grief Share is a non-denominational grief support program which gives individuals the opportunity to interact and share experiences. Grief Share is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. You don't have to go through the grieving process alone.
Our Grief Share group meets several times throughout the year and offers special support during the holiday season. Please call the parish office at 815-385-4030 for group meeting times.
