Recent Highlights

On Saturday, May 25th, our SOTH "LERT" team ("Lutheran Emergency Response Team") deployed to Watseka, IL to help communities & homes in need.  On Wednesday, May 22nd a high-wind storm passed through the town, causing extensive storm damage.  Alan Holm, Bruce Preston, & so many others pictured below deployed their own chainsaw teams to help take care of the damage & answer the call to serve those in need.  We're grateful for these hard-working volunteers!

Jennifer Walker's preschool kids, pictured above, recently took a group picture, to encourage the rest of our church family to participate in our Diaper Bank!  WELCA will be collecting diapers of all sizes for children & adults in a tub in the narthex starting in May.  The elderly are in need of diapers, as well as babies, & those who are ill or have disabilities.   Please help us by placing packages of diapers in the bin whenever possible.  You can also donate funds to buy diapers - make out the check to SOTH & put "Diaper Bank" in the memo field, then drop it in the slot outside the office.  For questions, please reach out to Bev Blundell or Michele Madsen at
